Introduction
As part of the volunteer project called (DE)Construction, a significant initiative took shape: the relocation of the IDC cooperative to a new space. This project goes beyond a mere physical move; it also embodies a process of transformation and renewal. At the heart of this collective experience, a volunteer was inspired by these intense moments to write a poem, capturing the essence of community work, shared challenges, and hopes. This poem, a poetic reflection of the spirit of (DE)Construction, invites deep contemplation on change, solidarity, and the creation of new beginnings.
The Project of Life
Every step i take in the long grass of the camping makes at least five grasshoppers jump in every direction A metaphor that every step you take in life does not only change the course of your own life but also impacts your environment. Resonating with the goal of this project we learn to be more considerate towards that.
We have power to decide over the course of our own life and we have power over the course of the other fluxes of this universe And with power comes responsibility This is both scary and freeing Balance can be found in embracing both sides of this story
Life, just like in this project, has no clear structure, it comes as it does Don’t rush it or you might end up crashing like Stefa. And if you do crash, cause its life after all, face yourself with kindness and keep (also like Stefa) the spirit high.
I wish for you all to be braver than carolina facing a spider but maybe a little less brave than julia jumping on a rock. Don’t let life slip through your fingers just like you did with the glasses of the kitchen (sorry bibi) but grab it thight like janosh grabbing mimini. Focus on what you want like oscar putting on twenty one pilots and imagine dragons on repeat Let go of what bothers you like roberto going basically bald
Scream at the top of your lungs like the roosters Roll in the dirt like the donkeys Wiggle your tail like tirelireBe a good boi like Snoopie or be a bad boi like me And lastly be like Aaron, be proud of your ass and live life with sass.
