grandemanuel

Name: Manuel Fatima Soares

Country of origin: East Timor

Age: 28 years old

What were you doing before coming here?

Before coming to the EVS project I was involved in many kinds of projets and was given different responsibiities.    Since our core program is our AHHA English program I had always been involved in teaching English  and I also have some basic computer skills. I used to be a manager in Science Of Life System 24/7 ( SOLS 24/7 )  in the district, and during those days I learnt to run and manage a  school, teach people  English, educate people in their character and leadership, dealing with local authorization, attending meetings and etc. I also used to be a regional coordinator, where I was in charge of many centres, learning to work as a team, monitoring the work at the districts. I was handling some administrative work such as Accounting , giving reports and etc. I also used to be in charge of a project where I teach the Government staffs. I am a team player and i am able to work in multi-cultural environment with very little effort. Dedicated and someone  who can be depended upon

Why did you choose to come here?

I chose to come here because I want to learn something different by joining EVS. Like inter cultural, hospitality, agriculture, web side communication, living in different environment, meeting the different people and facing the different situation.

What do you do here in the campsite?

Now, in the camp side I’m working in the hospitality, agriculture, and the web side communication.

What do you enjoy most about your EVS? And what’s your biggest challenge now?

In my EVS project I enjoy meeting new friends, traveling, going out with the EVS friends, eating the different food,     live with different  people, and having fun. About my challenges, now i’m thinking of what I can do after my EVS project because i have to be ready to train the next generation to get the opportunity.

What do you plan to do after your EVS?

My plan after this EVS project is  to share the knowledge to other people especially to the people of my country.
