My name is Alba and I am 24 years old. I’m from a town in Córdoba (Spain). I studied History at the University and I did a Master in Education. This year I finished my academic studies and decided to do something different during the summer. I am also passionate about nature and animals, and I am very interested in ecology and agriculture. That’s why I looked for a project in the European Voluntary Service that was related to these things and I found this project in the Camping Le Belvedere. Here we carry out permaculture tasks, take care of the animals and produce some food in the organic garden. We try to lead a minimalist lifestyle, consuming responsibly and having the least possible impact on the environment. Every day we learn new things through experience and little by little we adopt a new way of life where the most important thing is harmony and respect towards nature. In addition, one of the things that are most enjoyed here is the life in a community that all international volunteers have. We practice and discover new languages and new cultures. We learn from each other, to respect each other and to coexist even with our distinctive features and different points of view. In summary, I could say that here we are learning to build from scratch a community with strong values of sustainability and love for life in all its forms!
