¡Hola a todos! My name is Clara, I am 25 years old and I come from Zaragoza in Spain. I have always been interested in international mobility and know new cultures and work in different environments. My Erasmus experience in Bologna, Italy, and then a stage in Tokyo changed my life as well as all the wonderful people I’ve had the opportunity to know along the way.
Last year I took a Master in Education to become a social science teacher and a Master in International Cooperation for Development. Environmental and social issues have been always my subject of study and that’s what I decide to specialize in Education for Change. 2020 changed my plans to work and travel across Latin America but my desire to live an enriching experience led me to the European Solidarity Corps.
Thinking about the present and future and being aware that I needed a change in my life, I looked for an opportunity in France in education to improve my French and get some pedagogy skills for my future. Furthermore, being close to my home and my loved ones was important on this occasion to me in these crazy times. After some weeks of research, I discovered a project I was interested in. L’école creative de Benque- Molere seemed the perfect opportunity for me to reach all my goals including living in the countryside with a magical view of the Pyrenees (but this time from the other side).
After three months of working in the school, I feel that this was my place. The pedagogic team has welcomed me as one more in the team, allowing me to live a joyful and enriching experience. Sharing my life with another volunteer, the teachers, the kids, and their families it’s being a great experience that is helping me to grow as a professional but overall, as a person. I feel so grateful for sharing my life and my work with such a great, professional, and passionate team.
